Le Bristol at $5,681 and The Peninsula at $3,178 sit at the same guest rating, 9.6, though Le Bristol has fewer reviews behind it. The Peninsula is the better booking on value alone: it has the rooftop bar Le Bristol lacks, and comes in roughly $2,500 a night cheaper. Le Bristol answers with a second bar and, on the facility list, edges it there, but that's a thin case against nearly half the price difference. Book The Peninsula unless the specific pull is Le Bristol's Faubourg Saint-Honoré address and its rooftop pool terrace with the view over the zinc roofs.
Le Bristol Paris
Le Bristol occupies a genuine 1758 hôtel particulier on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, extended with a 1978 Directoire-style wing, and it still reads as a private house rather than a hotel: boiseries, a spiral staircase, Aubusson tapestries, a courtyard garden where lunch is served under plane trees. The famous rooftop pool, shaped like an ocean liner deck, looks out over zinc roofs and the Sacré-Coeur in the distance. It sits among the couture houses and the Élysée Palace, so the street outside is hushed, guarded, and very rich. The crowd is old money and the diplomatic circuit rather than Instagram tourists.
Guests who want the hush and history of a converted private mansion in the heart of the couture district, and don't mind paying for it.
The Peninsula Paris
The Peninsula occupies the 1908 Hôtel Majestic near the Arc de Triomphe, restored by Hong Kong-based Peninsula group with a deliberately maximalist hand: gilt cornicing, grand double staircase, a lobby that still smells faintly of the Belle Époque despite the modern glass additions. L'Oiseau Blanc, the rooftop restaurant, is built around a replica biplane suspended as if flying off the terrace, with views down the Champs-Élysées corridor. Avenue Kléber is broad, quiet, residential-grand rather than boutique-lined, closer to the Trocadéro crowd than the Faubourg fashion set.
Guests who want equivalent five-star scale and a rooftop with a view, at a price that's still enormous but notably less so.
Booking The Peninsula over Le Bristol means giving up nothing structural on the amenity list but trading Le Bristol's second bar and its more storied, single-address intimacy for a bigger, more corporate-feeling hotel near the Arc de Triomphe rather than the Faubourg.
Le Bristol is the more beautiful place to actually sit in, because it never stopped being a house, and that scale of intimacy is the harder thing for money to buy.

Very nice luxurious hotel with excellent dining
The Peninsula Paris
Overall the stay was very pleasant until after the check out, I found out that lost my jacket at the hotel room, so I called them. It took them a couple of days to search for it and told me no. It was at the changing room.. but I was told they did not find it.
One of the world’s best hotels.
Very good overall.
