We had an amazing stay at the Bellagio Hotel! The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with a very comfortable bed and great amenities. The hotel lobby is absolutely stunning and creates a luxurious first impression with its elegant décor and lively atmosphere. The pool area was clean, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind after exploring Las Vegas. The staff were friendly and professional, makin

Book Bellagio if you want to be on the Strip itself, with the fountains, the gardens and the casino life a lift ride away; at $433 it's the higher rate but the location and the guest rating (8.7 vs 8.3) justify it for a Vegas-first visit. Book the JW Marriott if you want to escape the Strip entirely, save $59 a night, and use a proper spa - it's 12.8km away in Summerlin, a different city really. Both are five-star-adjacent in feel, but they're answering different questions about what you want from Las Vegas.
Bellagio
Bellagio opened in 1998 modelled loosely on the town of the same name on Lake Como, and the theming shows in the conservatory's seasonal botanical displays and the Chihuly glass flowers hanging over the lobby ceiling - thousands of hand-blown pieces in reds, ambers and blues that make people stop and look up before they've checked in. The famous fountains outside run choreographed to music after dark, and the rooms behind them are done in a fairly restrained, updated-classic style with marble bathrooms rather than anything showy. It's busy, loud in the casino areas, and full of people who came for the show as much as the bed - conventioneers, couples on a big weekend, high rollers heading to the tables.
Bellagio suits visitors who want to be inside the Strip's spectacle - fountains, gardens, casino energy - and are happy to pay for that address.
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa
The JW Marriott sits well off the Strip in Summerlin, a resort built around a spa-and-golf-community feel rather than casino theatrics - the about copy leans hard on the Aquae Sulis Spa, its 36 treatment rooms, and rooms with two-person spa baths, which tells you the target guest wants relaxation over spectacle. The outdoor pool with its waterfall and the volleyball courts suggest a daytime, resort-lounging pace rather than a nightlife base. It reads as calmer and more suburban, a place to actually sleep and recover rather than a stage set.
The JW Marriott suits people who want a genuine spa break and quiet nights, and don't mind a drive to reach the Strip.
Neither listing shows a facility the other lacks outright, so the real trade-off is address and scale: the JW Marriott gives up the Strip location and the five-star rating tier for a lower price and a heavier spa focus.
Bellagio is the more beautiful and characterful place to stand in, simply because of the Chihuly ceiling, the conservatory and the fountains outside - it's Vegas theatre done with real craft, where the JW Marriott is a comfortable but generic resort interior.

“Five Star Stay!”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was extremely attentive, professional, and friendly. We were greeted by name each time we arrived and departed from the hotel. The valet staff Paul, and Sam, are five star employees and go over and beyond for their guests. Kevin in The Earl Grey Cafe was excellent also!
