The honest take
Fontainebleau is $381 a night with a 9/10 rating from nearly 4,800 reviews, and it has a rooftop the Conrad lacks. The Conrad at Resorts World is $349 with an 8.6/10 from 3,728 reviews, and it counters with a hot tub plus a vastly larger campus of dining and retail. Both sit on the same stretch of the Strip, half a kilometre apart. Book Fontainebleau for the higher guest rating and rooftop; book the Conrad if the extra $32 a night matters and you want more restaurants and shops on site.
The look and the feel
Fontainebleau Las Vegas, MICHELIN Key Award Hotel
Fontainebleau's Las Vegas tower finally opened in 2023 after a construction saga stretching back to 2007, and it wears the delay well: a curved blue-glass monolith visible from most of the Strip, with interiors that lean Miami-cool rather than Vegas-maximalist, all pale stone, brass trim and long sightlines through the lobby atrium. The casino floor and public rooms read more restrained than the neighbouring mega-resorts, with a rooftop pool deck and bar that catches the desert light in a way most Strip hotels, built for windowless gaming floors, don't bother with. It draws a slightly younger, design-conscious crowd who want the Strip address without the full theme-park intensity next door.
Fontainebleau suits travellers who want a quieter, design-forward five-star base on the Strip without wading through an entire retail mall to get to their room.
Conrad Las Vegas At Resorts World
The Conrad occupies a slice of the newer Resorts World complex, which opened in 2021 as one of the Strip's biggest bets in a decade: a 100,000-square-foot casino, close to 30 retail outlets and more than 40 restaurants under one roof. Conrad's own rooms go for a bright, contemporary palette, bold textures and mixed metal-and-organic finishes, aiming at the Hilton luxury tier's usual pitch to business and leisure travellers who want a defined identity within a much larger resort. Seven pools, including a family pool, put it closer to an all-in-one resort experience than a boutique stay.
The Conrad suits travellers who want the Strip's biggest buffet of dining, shopping and pool options bundled into one resort and don't mind a corporate-luxury room aesthetic.
At $349, the Conrad gives up the rooftop that Fontainebleau has, though it counters with a hot tub and a much bigger spread of restaurants and shops across the wider Resorts World site.
Fontainebleau is the more coherent, better-lit building to actually stand in, its restrained blue-glass tower and rooftop feeling considered in a way the sprawling, mall-like Resorts World complex, built for volume, doesn't try to be.

Conrad Las Vegas At Resorts World

confusing app/phone system for room service
Fontainebleau guests are generally happier overall, praising the rooms and value despite some service and noise gripes, while Conrad reviewers repeatedly cite frustrating staff and booking mishaps.
The hotel was beautiful, the room was well appointed and comfortable.
My only complaint was that this is Vegas. We got there at 9pm and by the time we got checked in and were ready for dinner, all restaurants were closed except for the grab and go one.

“Very rude stuff that doesn’t solve any issues you might have”
The property is new. So it was clean and smelled good. But there were a couple of things that spoiled all the impression.
The pool didn’t have enough shade. Water in the pool was too cold. Even with extreme heat outside the difference in temperatures was unbearable.
Stuff is very rude. It takes an out for them to answer your request. They talk to you in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. We had 50$ credit for the food. They didn’t e
