The honest take

Book the Fontainebleau. It's $190 cheaper a night, rated higher on far more reviews (4,804 vs 59), and comes with the casino, fitness centre and rooftop that the Venetian package here lacks. The Venetian Prestige Club Lounge only pulls ahead on breakfast being included, which doesn't close a near-$200 gap. Both sit on the Strip, 1.8 km apart, so location isn't the deciding factor.

The look and the feel

The Venetian Prestige Club Lounge

This is a booking for the Venetian's Prestige Club Lounge tier, on the 36th floor, which means you're paying for the all-suite Venetian/Palazzo product and lounge access rather than a standard room. The Venetian's interiors, done up by Sheldon Adelson's design team with Vegas' usual maximalism, lean hard into Venetian pastiche: painted ceiling frescoes, gondola canals, marble colonnades, gold leaf everywhere the light can catch it. Suites are oversized with sunken living areas, and the club lounge itself trades the casino floor's noise for a quieter, carpeted retreat with a daily reception. It's theatrical rather than restrained, built for guests who want spectacle in the room and calm above it.

Guests who want an all-suite stay with a quiet lounge retreat above the casino noise and don't mind paying a premium for it.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas, MICHELIN Key Award Hotel

The Fontainebleau brings the Miami-born brand's glass tower and dark, tailored interiors to the Strip, all sharp lines, black and bronze surfaces, and a lobby that trades gilt for a cooler, more minimal palette. The listing points to a fine dining restaurant, a trendy bar, and a casino floor that puts you back in the thick of Strip energy rather than above it. It's a newer build aiming for a more design-forward, nightlife-adjacent crowd than the Venetian's opulent-suite hush.

Guests who want to be close to the casino and nightlife action, at a lower price, with strong recent guest reviews backing it up.

At $571, the Venetian gives you daily breakfast in the club lounge, but at $381 the Fontainebleau gives up nothing on paper except that breakfast inclusion while adding a casino, fitness centre and rooftop the Venetian listing doesn't mention.

The Venetian's frescoed, marble-heavy suites are the more theatrical and photogenic space, but the Fontainebleau's cooler, tailored interiors are the more coherent piece of design to actually spend a night in.

“I would stay here again.”

The hotel was beautiful, the room was well appointed and comfortable.

My only complaint was that this is Vegas. We got there at 9pm and by the time we got checked in and were ready for dinner, all restaurants were closed except for the grab and go one.

“Very rude stuff that doesn’t solve any issues you might have”

The property is new. So it was clean and smelled good. But there were a couple of things that spoiled all the impression.

The pool didn’t have enough shade. Water in the pool was too cold. Even with extreme heat outside the difference in temperatures was unbearable. Stuff is very rude. It takes an out for them to answer your request. They talk to you in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. We had 50$ credit for the food. They didn’t e
