Priced on the same night, 2026-11-09: La Valise Mexico City, Member of Small Luxury Hotels is $132 a night less. They are 1.3 km apart.

Book the Four Seasons if you want a proper five-star machine: spa, pool, gym, hot tub, bar, parking, all under one roof on Reforma, for $1,062 a night. Book La Valise if you want something rarer: a handful of suites in Roma Norte, room service from Rosetta, for $1,008, with the highest guest rating of the two at 9.8 against 9.2. They sit 1.3km apart in genuinely different neighbourhoods, so the choice is really about which Mexico City you want to wake up in. Given the price gap is negligible, this comes down to whether you want facilities or intimacy.
The Four Seasons Mexico City sits behind a colonial-style courtyard just off Paseo de la Reforma, all clipped hedges, fountains and a driveway that shields you from the traffic outside. Inside it reads as international five-star: marble floors, heavy drapery, chandeliers, the kind of hushed lobby built for business travellers and wedding parties rather than surprise. El Bar and Becco give it the feel of a self-contained compound, and the English-style barbershop is a nice eccentric touch amid the otherwise standard luxury-hotel grammar. It draws diplomats, executives and anyone who wants full-service reliability over discovery.
Business travellers, families or anyone who wants a full-service five-star with spa, pool and gym on site.
La Valise is a small, design-led hideaway in Roma Norte, the kind of place with only a handful of suites, each individually decorated rather than stamped from a template. Expect exposed brick or plaster walls, mixed vintage and contemporary furniture, terraces looking over a leafy residential street, and a scale so intimate the whole building feels like someone's very well-appointed apartment rather than a hotel. Room service from Rosetta, one of the most acclaimed restaurants in Latin America, delivered to your suite, is the signature move. It draws design-minded travellers who want Roma Norte's cafes and galleries on foot, not a spa day.
Design-conscious travellers who want an intimate, characterful stay within walking distance of Roma Norte's restaurants and shops.
La Valise gives up the spa, pool, hot tub, fitness centre, parking and hotel bar that the Four Seasons offers, trading facilities for a smaller, more personal footprint.
La Valise is the more beautiful place to actually be in, room for room, precisely because it isn't trying to be a compound; the Four Seasons is impressive, but it's the kind of impressive you find in any world capital.

La Valise guests come away happier overall, repeatedly describing the staff and personal service as extraordinary, though one guest was irritated by being charged for coffee pods.

“Just... AMAZING”
We had a wonderful stay at La Valise. The entire hotel team is absolutely incredible: always attentive, caring, and available. They organized some amazing experiences for us and truly made our stay unforgettable. A huge thank you to the whole team! I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Incredible team, incredible hotel, incredible stay!
“Great hotel, but was charged for 2 coffee pods!!”
Great room. Service was good, nothing outstanding. Nice and cute small hotel. However, they charged me $7 for 2 Nespresso pods. Really?? Yes, really!!! With the price of the room, they shouldn’t nickel and dime little stuff. I have never, ever been charged for coffee pods! For that reason, I will look for another option next time!
“Can't wait to be back there”
Beautiful rooms with friendly and professional staff. Excellent location in walking distance to everything we wanted to experience. Memorable experience. Will be back
